Chris Morton, Strength & Conditioning Specialist, founded EFS in
1996.
1996. Because of his intensive backgrounds in both sports science and athletics, Mr. Morton understands the physical, social, and emotional demands that athletes and active individuals confront (throughout their lives). He also understands the kinesiology of sports, which has lead to him developing proven solutions that result in enhanced sport performance. Mr Morton specializes in neuromuscular coordination development, periodized training, speed and strength resistance training and is the primary developer of The proven effective EFS Training System (used by thousands of athletes from youth level up to professional).
Because of his intensive backgrounds in both sport training and athletics, Mr. Morton understands the physical demands that athletes confront and the kinesiology of sports and sport conditioning. Mr. Morton specializes in neuromuscular coordination development, periodized training, and speed and strength resistance training.
Mr. Morton was also the Fitness & Sports Conditioning Specialist for Professional Club Management (PCM), Ronnie Lott’s Club Fitness, and Royal Courts Club Fitness. As their Fitness & Sport Conditioning Specialist, Mr. Morton educated and trained a staff of approximately 30 fitness trainers. He instructed them in such areas as program design, strength and physiological testing, and nutrition consulting and assessment. Mr. Morton also presented continuing education seminars for all of the fitness staff.
Now, with his efforts focused solely on EFS, Chris Morton is reaching new heights. EFS has expanded to

offer speed & conditioning camps, and programs to youth sports athletes, teams, and elementary schools (EFS Youth Sports).
On the advanced strength & conditioning level, EFS effectively trains athletes of all ages and levels: youth sports, high school, college, and professional. EFS also effectively trains athletes of almost all major sports in the Western Hemisphere: baseball, football, basketball, softball, volleyball, soccer, martial arts, field
hockey, track & field, etc.
Over the last 10 years, EFS been able to earn the trust of thousands of athletes (as well as numerous coaches) to help prepare them, or their teams for their sport.
Mr. Morton earned his B.S. degree from the University of Montana in
Health and Human Performance with a concentration in Sport and Exercise
Studies. He also has two certificate degrees: one as a Certified
Strength & Conditioning Specialist, and the other in Personal
Training from the National Strength & Conditioning Association
(NSCA).
While at the University of Montana, Mr. Morton studied and trained under internationally known East European Physiology expert & author Krzysztof Mackala. He was also a contributing
member of the 1995 National Champion Montana University football team. In 1993, Mr. Morton was ranked 17th among the “Best Fullbacks in the Nation” by Lindy’s PAC-10 magazine.
EFS Sports Performance, Whats it all about?
EFS Programs and Services are pioneering a new generation of sports and fitness training. The cutting edge training principles that The EFS System uses are better equipping athletes for their sport and enhancing their playing experiences.
Speed
The measurable progress that we see with our advanced sports athletes and fitness
seekers has been remarkable. For example, we usually see athletes run 2-4 tenths faster in their 40yd dash after using the EFS system for 3 months. For an athlete to enhance their 40yd dash
speed or even 20yd speed by 2-4 tenths has a dramatic impact on the
field or court. Just consider the same athlete with the same skills and
abilities performing them 2 or 3 strides lengths faster than they were
3 months prior. If you figure each stride is approximately 5-6 feet, we
are talking about 3-5 yds ahead (or faster) than where they were
before. That is very significant. That difference can be a stolen base,
an intercepted pass, a game-winning catch, an incredible save, an
injury avoidance, etc... The countless "almosts" that every athlete
runs across start
to become "I can do it " situations. This is tangible. It leads to
enhanced performance, more closely realized potential, reduced injury
risk, and greater confidence.
Vertical Jump
Lets take a look at vertical jump. With The EFS System we commonly see 1-5 inches of jumping improvement over a 3 month period of time. Often that is the difference in being able to grab the rim and for some dunking a ball, or blocking a shot, or picking up a rebound. In volleyball its a block or a spike delivered from a higher point, making it virtually unstoppable for the defender. In soccer it may be a header into the goal, in softball or baseball it can be a high and outstanding catch. To the observer looks like the athlete is lighter on their feet. This is tangible. At EFS, we even had a volleyball player from Mitty High School add 7 inches in 5 months to her vertical jump. And she was no slouch. Archbishop Mitty has one of the top ranked womens volleyball programs in the nation. To even make the varsity volleyball team there is a significant accomplishment. How about trying out while jumping 7 inches higher?! That is confidence.
Foot Quickness and Agility
EFS athletes score on average 20-30%
better in their foot quickness and agility after 3 months of using our system. Foot quickness and agility
often is hard to define, but it plays a major role in the trenches
where athletes are close in proximity to one another. In soccer you
are talking faster kicks and quicker and better ball control. In
football, you are talking quicker cutting, and greater injury avoidance
(such as ankle rolling, knee sprains, etc...). In volleyball, its a
greater ability to adjust your feet and body position to better match
the dynamic nature of the game. In baseball its picking up your feet
faster to reach a previously "unreachable" ground ball in the infield.
That can result in fewer errors and hat is tangible. That is confidence and that is EFS.
